city food going on

September in the City

Fall is just around the corner!!! Summer is fading quickly, (in spirit, not necessarily in temperature) and I know I am ready for all the fun, fall festivities. There’s a ton to look forward to, especially with all the amazing food events.

I’m not going to lie, I live to eat. Good food has always been something that is so important to me, and is one of my favorite experiences. Sometimes, that can get pricey fast. Luckily, this month we have a number of amazing restaurants offering up prix fixe 3 course meals. Participating restaurants are either $15, $25 or $35 each (which if you live here, you know is unheard of). Take advantage of these restaurant weeks and their affordable prices. Also, be sure to make reservations ASAP! Here are the neighborhoods taking part this month:

Inman Park Restaurant Week– 9/21-27
Midtown Restaurant Week– 9/5-13

Several other foodie events are happening too! This year’s famous Taste of Atlanta is 9/25-27, and you can sample over 90+ local restaurants! Get your tickets fast! Also, the Atlanta Greek Fest is going on 9/24-27. Be sure to get Greek favorites like gyros and baklava!

Malts and Vaults is happening at Oakland Cemetery. Have some brews after touring Atlanta’s most famous cemetery and learning about “Where beer meets History”!

Music Midtown will be 9/18-19 in Piedmont Park. The lineup is posted, and I personally would like to see Jenny Lewis, Andrew McMahon and Panic! at the Disco.

It’s that time again for one of my seasonal favorites, Root City Market. This time will be a pop-up on the Beltline at Krog Market. Come check it out, and support local crafters!

With so much to do, this month should be jam packed full of fun, fall activities. Happy September, y’all! <3
