How I love Asheville!
I snuck the husb away for a quick, fun birthday weekend in the mountains/pub crawl. Please excuse the lack of photos, as I was too cold to function the first day. Temperatures were 68 when we left, and 45 (and dropping) when we arrived. I am not a cold weather kind of gal.
Asheville is a quick three hour (and some change) drive from Atlanta, and is so much fun! It’s a hippy dippy mountain town with a whopping 40+ breweries, great food and beautiful scenery. Asheville is always a good time, without feeling too touristy/un-authentic. We ran into two sets of friends, one from here and one from Winston-Salem, and it made for such a good time! We always use Airbnb when traveling, and here’s my favorite Asheville Airbnb listing!
Here’s my whirlwind list of Asheville favs.
There’s a plethora of places to go and see, and some of this trip’s highlights included Wicked Weed’s boiled peanuts and cheese plate, One World Brewing’s Sauvignon Blonde, New Belgium’s light-filled taste room, and Sierra Nevada’s pretzel and beer cheese. The beautiful Flora store and Battlecat coffee are also favorites.
Now go book your own weekend!
